I am a technologist librarian with experience developing and maintaining a wide variety of systems. I am passionate about usability, data, and the internet as a means of democratizing information.

- California College of the Arts — June 2014 to Present
- Systems Librarian who manages a Koha ILS, openEQUELLA digital repository, Moodle LMS, Panopto video platform, & homemade Wagtail (a Django-based CMS) website. Automates workflows, collects & analyzes statistics, performs some reference & instruction. Works closely with the Instructional Support & Technology Services departments on projects related to instructional technology & web infrastructure.

- Emerging Technologies Librarian who developed new & innovative services for a rural community college. My major projects included a one-to-one iPad program, a centralized statistics recording system & dashboard display, chat reference, redesigning the LRC website in Drupal 7, a mobile website, & an ERM system.

- Graduate Assistant who staffed the University Library's central Information Desk & answered reference questions via several modes of communication. Used numerous academic databases & reference resources to answer inquiries. Taught information literacy sections, including ones embedded in the ESL graduate program.

- I focused my coursework at GSLIS on developing a broad array of skills which would apply to reference & instruction services in many different settings. Coursework focused on user-centered services & design, as well as adapting to a changing information landscape.

- Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in English & Mathematics — September 2003 to June 2007
- The double-degree I obtained required additional coursework beyond the usual requirements. My B.A.S. reflects the unique blend of creative & analytical skills which I possess. My English concentration was in Creative Writing, specifically poetry. I completed five writing workshops, attaining an A in each, & published poems in five periodicals.

- I've volunteered for the Code4Lib annual conference, often in multiple roles, since 2015. I chaired the Website Working Group and Community Support Squad for multiple years. In 2019, I was chair of the primary conference planning committee for the San Jose conference.

- From 2011 to 2014 I served as a member of the Community & Junior College Libraries Section as well as the Instruction Section. I held the position of Newsletter Editor on the CJCLS Membership & Communications Committee, with an ex officio position on the section's Executive Committee.
- I was the lead editor of the ACRL TechConnect blog from 2016 to 2019. I first started writing for the library technology blog in 2012.
